Community-centered initiatives

Legend leadership is working on the following community-centered initiatives that echo commitment to our community.

Funding for educational activities for employees’ children

Our general education fund will provide both financial funding for activities such as summer camps or after school classes, but also assistance in identifying and locating activities that are appropriate for your kids. We know that kids are the pillars of our community – it’s time to invest in their development.

Legend Health as nutrition centers

Nutrition is central to a healthy lifestyle and a prospering community. We know that several of the communities we serve are food deserts meaning there is a lack of access to fresh, healthy and affordable food. That’s why we’re partnering with Everytable to make our healthcare centers places where people can access good, nutritious food.

Long-term investment in better maternity and paternity leave

A new baby is a life-changing event, we understand that. That’s why we’re rethinking our benefit scheme to give our employees longer and better maternity and paternity leave options. Eventually, we also hope to create options for on-site day care options to help ease our new working parents’ worries.

Built in continual professional development opportunities

We recognize that our staff is our strength and we want to continue to aid their development as resourceful and empathetic individuals. At Legend, we want 20 percent of your time to be set aside for continued professional development – whatever that looks like for your career goals and skill set. This time is built into your schedule and will go beyond just formal training or accreditation.

What is Legend doing for medical professionals?

Our next initiative, set to go live early next year, is our involvement with the federal loan forgiveness program for healthcare providers.
